You may be scratching your head and thinking, "Why is Presence not spelled P-R-E-S-E-N-T-S?"  This year we are striving to be Christ's PRESENCE in our community.  That is what Christmas is truly about, isn't it?  It is the time when we celebrate God sending His Son to be present among us.  We are going to enter the Christmas story and not just tell it.  We have the opportunity to make a true impact in our community and be Christ to those in need.  We hope that you will partner with us and use the gifts God has given you to reach out to others.

You may be familiar with our annual Christmas Extravaganza in which we portray the Christmas story in a creative and dramatic fashion.  This year, through Christmas Presence, we are going to enter the Christmas story rather than just tell it.  The six performances of Christmas Presence will include fabulous music, some fun Christmas numbers, videos, and a life-changing message.  Tickets are free, but we do have a limited number of seats, so be sure to pick yours up before or after a weekend worship celebration or at the church office. 

During this weekend, we will also be providing Christmas gifts for needy children.  Last year we were able to provide gifts for 852 children.  This year we are hoping to expand this and provide for even more.  The needs are great due to the economy, and this is our opportunity to be Christ’s Presence in our community.  We hope that you will partner with us by adopting a family and giving of your time to support Christmas Presence.

Instead of telling the Christmas story this year, we are inviting you to enter it and play an active role in being Christ's presence in our community.  We invite you to enter the story line.  How do you do that?  By buying Christmas gifts for needy children and giving of your time to serve others.  Be a part of the cast.  Use your voice to sing and your hands to play the instruments.  If we all join together, we can be Christ's Presence in our community in a mighty way!!
